If I were to run away to Spain and take a Spanish lover, it’d all go down in Cádiz!

I love this city. It's small and beautiful, with all the charm of Seville's centro, just enough history, so much sun, sand that manages to not be annoying, and the most enchanting sea-smell I've ever smelt. I've always said I probably wouldn't elect to live in a beach city. If Cádiz falls under that category, it's the first beach city I feel like I could live in. I like it more than Sevilla! 

Right where you see the Cad part of Cádiz is where we frolicked, the heart of the city, the old of the city, the fresh fish and sea urchins of the city, the oh my god I’m coming back here of the city.

Crossing the bridge leading into Cádiz. Most every picture through the bus window didn’t turn out, so here’s an okay one. The land you see is back where we were on the mainland. It was cloudy for the beginning of the day but as you will see, clouds never last long in the city that smiles!

Decorations for Carnaval are already up. It is a world-famous party, this year from March 3 to the 13th. I have to check my schedule, but I hope to go! This wall is the entrance to the old portion of the city.

Beachy/rocky area at low tide. This beach, with that white building, is apparently where (as our guide described it) "Halle Berry emerged from the ocean in an orange bikini with a knife strapped on in Die Another Day." Haven't seen it.

To the right there you can see part of the Castle/Fort of Santa Catalina; it's pentagonal and nifty. I'm already in it in this picture, as you can see from the next video.

See how similar the centro of Cadiz is to the centro of Sevilla? In Cadiz, though, there are several long and straight streets, which is more than you can say for Seville.
